Screen Mercy 1.2.0 is out

Screen Mercy 1.2.0 is now available. This release is all about first-run polish and giving you more control over how the app fits into your Mac.

What's new in 1.2.0

• New DMG install window. The disk image now has a styled, easy-to-use installer window. Drag to Applications, done.
• Offline city search. Choose your location from a bundled offline city database, or enter exact coordinates yourself. Your location still stays on your Mac.
• Location window fixes. The location editor is clearer and more reliable, whether you are searching for a city or typing coordinates.
• Dedicated settings window. Open a full settings window from the menu bar for more room and easier navigation than the compact popover.
• Displays list + arrangement. Manage displays in a compact list, and switch to the visual monitor arrangement when you want the full layout view.
• Launch at login. Choose whether Screen Mercy starts automatically when you log in to your Mac.

Performance

The app stays fast. No regressions in this release; the core solar and color math is still measured in nanoseconds per decision.

How to get it

If you already have Screen Mercy installed, the app will offer the update automatically if you have auto-check enabled. You can also check for updates manually from the menu bar, or grab the latest DMG directly from the download page.

Pro users get the update at no charge; the 1.2.0 build is included in every active license.
